“It’s not unusual for me to come up with the concept, write the script, draw up the storyboard and then direct the talent (or non-talent). I have a knack for making everyone feel relaxed in front of and behind the camera, and I’m passionate about telling people’s stories.”

One of four content videos created for Elders to showcase the vital and longstanding relationships they have with families on the land across Australia - 'There when you need us' was a great opportunity for me to meet and interview honest hardworking folk who genuinely appreciated the support they received from Elders. Captured by a small and nimble crew of myself, writer Jeremy Egerton, producer Holly Horne, stills photographer Paul Torcello and the dynamic duo of cinematographer Matt Salleh and producer Rose Tucker - we were ably supported by Account managers Erik de Roos and Carmel Alfano.

Another in the series of online videos for Elders - this time from a sheep farmer in WA. Each video was filmed over one and a half days and scripted on the fly - having had only a brief phone conversation prior to arrival, it is work that I am incredibly proud of. Beautiful, natural cinematography and a great portrait of honest, hardworking families on the land.

Another Elders video - this time a little closer to home (Adelaide) in Jamestown, South Australia. Michael Butterick and his family live at the mercy of the seasons, year in year out - but are 100% committed to making the most of their crops - and couldn't do it without the support of Elders.

The final in the Elders campaign, this focussed on one man's dream to create perfect cattle using cutting edge breeding technology combined with a deep respect for local knowledge, and a strong faith in his partners. Fascinating stuff.

Here's a little grab of some of the moments from our journey across the country for Elders. It was physically gruelling for our small crew, with a lot of driving, long days of shooting and preparation - not to mention the weather extremes - but I loved it!

This video touches on the areas of health services across Australia that I was privileged to explore and capture for 'Health Workforce Australia' - an organisation whose mandate was to promote training in various areas of Health across the nation. I found hot humbling to meet such extraordinarily talented and passionate people who loved sharing their experience with young people. Another tight crew consisting of myself, Matt Salleh and Rose Tucker and Dave Gregan on the road again!

Part of the MACs 'Matemorphosis' Regional road safety campaign, this online video documented the partnership between the MAC and regional sporting communities and clubs to ensure the road safety messages were being heard by those most at risk. We attended a footy carnival and interviewed players, parents and coaches to get their feedback.

RAA Road Champions 'Stress Test' Video was created to highlight the dangers of travelling on regional South Australian roads - and garner public support to pressure the State government into action with funding for repairs. We likened the experience of travelling on some stretches of roads as being as riskier than driving on a racetrack - and enlisted the help of professional racer Tim Slade to prove the point. Great cinematography from Nima Nabili Rad, Director/Producer Matt Pearson, writer Matt O'Grady and Producer Nicole Eleftheriou.

This was a very ambitious project on a very tight budget, so I drew up virtually every frame to guide our DOP and crew - and co-directed the shoot with Matt Pearson. The shoot day was 40 degrees in the shade, followed by a dust storm and bushfires started by lightning strikes nearby. Not one I’ll forget in a hurry!

A teaser for the RAA Road Champions 'Stress Test' Video.

The second in the RAA 'Road Champions' campaign - drawing attention to public concerns of poor government funding for roads, this video compared the ridiculously slow peak hour traffic speeds into Adelaide to that of a tortoise. In fact we decided to pit race driver Tim Slade against our remote control Tortoise (built by ANIFEX) to prove the point! There were many challenges to such a crazy stunt, the least being that our client insisted we use RAA staff as talent. No tortoises were harmed in the production! (PS. My wife Michelle and our dog Pepper make a cameo at 02:13)

A teaser for the RAA Road Champions 'Urban Road Challenge'.

Coopers 'Most Wanted' was an online video aimed at Coopers aficionados who patiently await the release of Coopers Vintage ale every year. It is not only a celebration of the finest brewing craftsmanship - but is also an opportunity to gain some insight from the team of master brewers themselves. A great exposé of the talents of Dan Peters behind the camera and Daniel Principe in edit and post.

An online video promoting the concept of matching Coopers Beers with spicy foods - this was a very 'hands-on' project with the help of food photographer and stylist partners - Brendan and Natalie Homan. The time-lapse of creating a rustic piece of art was used in posters. Thanks also goes to writer Corey Swaffer and CD James Rickard.

A nice little online/social ad for Coopers to remind drinkers that it's the natural brewing and the sediment from the yeast at the bottom of every bottle that provides the "magic" in every Coopers Ale. Special thanks to Mark Atherton and the team at Anomoly Films on this one!

An online promotional Video for Stratco to demonstrate the versatility and quality of their Handi-Mate Sheds. Part of the very successful 'What's in your Shed?' campaign. Thanks Aaron Gully for the cinematography and Greg Faull for Project management.

Another online video - this time for San Remo, to set up a series of Recipe based demonstrations from MasterChef Michael Weldon. Lovely food cinematography from Sam King and great styling by Yvonne Karabatsos.

One of many online videos to promote UniSA as an aspirational destination for Arts students. Thanks to Ben MacPherson for videography.

A new campaign for Discovery holiday Parks to highlight the moments that are important to families who choose to stay in Parks across Australia - "Discover what matters" was written by Steve 'Swills' Willis and shot and edited by the uber-talented Bayley Broome Peake.

The 30 second version for Discovery Holiday Parks - it was part of a campaign of targeted Bumper ads to remind viewers of the special moments they could be missing out on.

Another online video for Discovery Parks - this one directed B2B and selling the benefits of staying in a Holiday park when travelling for work, rather than in a motel.

A corporate video to help Adelaide Airport Limited celebrate 20 years and acknowledge the contributions of staff. A tight budget and even tighter deadline had us literally running around the airport. Great work from videographer Lyndal Redman.
